Employability and careers support
AUT employability and careers support doesn't stop at graduation. We offer ongoing help and resources to alumni.
CareerHub online portal
You can use our online portal AUT CareerHub to:
- Search for jobs relevant to your studies and qualifications and ongoing studies
- Register for employability workshops and employer events, including career fairs
- Book an appointment with one of our employability or career specialists
- Browse and use our career resources, including the CV drop box and interview stream
Access to CareerHub
When you graduate, your status automatically changes from ‘student’ to ‘graduate’ on CareerHub. This them gives you ongoing access, although it will disable after a year if you have not accessed it. You can email our administrator to have your access reinstated.
Discounted gym membership
You can get discounted annual multi-gym membership fees – $570 for 12 months' full access to the City Campus and North Campus gym facilities. This includes all group fitness classes, plus use of the indoor stadium and Golf Swing Clinic on the North Campus.
Free library membership
Associate Library Membership is free for AUT alumni. Check the library website for details on how to apply.
AuSM Ski Lodge Accommodation
AUT alumni have year-round access to the AuSM Ski Lodge in National Park Village, close to the Ruapehu ski fields.
Discounted tickets for Breakfast Club events
AUT alumni have access to the Breakfast Club speaker events, with 10% off event tickets. Recent Breakfast Club speakers include the founder of GrabOne Shane Bradley, ASB CEO Barbara Chapman, Ryman Healthcare CFO Gordon MacLeod, New Zealand Oil & Gas CEO Andrew Knight and Prime Minister Bill English.
Competitive global foreign exchange
NZForex is a global foreign exchange specialist that helps our alumni members make international transfers or remit payments to New Zealand.
Better By Design CEO Summit is a two-day, inspirational design conference that explores how design can be implemented into any business. The conference brings together international guest speakers, thinkers and innovators, alongside top New Zealand professionals from the largest and most innovative companies. AUT is a principal sponsor and would encourage alumni to attend the event with us.
